【今日のスキット】
Hiroko:

△We were in a hurry to get back in these ways only slippers left on the shelf.
===> We were in a hurry to get back, and these were the only slippers left on the shelf.

最後のshelfは難しかったです。
店に残っている「in the shop」がずっと頭にこびりついていて「shop」と言ってないのはwかるんだけど、他の発想が出てこないです。

Laura:
△Go ahead. Try and your classy new put wear.
===> Go ahead. Try on your classy new footwear.

Jack:
△OK, OK. I guess I shouldon't look a gift ***** in the mouth.
===> OK, OK. I guess I shouldon't look a gift horse in the mouth.
×Well, **** ********* *** well.
===> Well, they certainly fit well.

「look a gift horse in the mouth」って、「もらいものにけちをつける」という意味だそうで・・・。GoEnglish.comの解説ページがイラストつきでおもしろかったです。
「ただでもらった馬の口の中を見て、歯が弱ってたら文句を言ってやる」的な発想ですね。

Kenta:
△I'm gerous. I wish I had a pair. They look soft and calmy.
===> I'm jealous. I wish I had a pair. They look soft and comfy.

jealous 嫉妬深い
日本語にもなっているジェラシーの形容詞形ですが、スペルを知りませんでした。
comfy 快適な、心地よい
「comfortable」と同じ意味です。

Jack:
○I'm going to be so embarrassed tomorrow.
===> I'm going to be so embarrassed tomorrow.
○But what choice do I have?
===> But what choice do I have?
×Our hurry to the newest shoes store so it's few people as possible we'll see.
===> I'll hurry to the nearest shoe store so as few people as possible will see.

Laura:
△Talk to that. Walk proudly!
===> Don't do that. Walk proudly!
×Put on sunglass and you look actor or a rock star.
===> Put on sunglasses and act like you're a rock star.

間違って思い出すんですが、サングラスはレンズ2枚で1組なので複数形です。

Kenta:

===> Yeah, Jack. Who knows, maybe you'll start a new fad!

===> Don't you want to try that sweater on before you buy it?

(3) このスーツは小さすぎるから、試着する必要がない。
△I can see that this suit is too small, so I don't need to try on.
===> I can see that this suit is too small, so I don't need to try it on.
