【今日のスキット】
Makoto:
△Get up, Ben. The fish won't wait. And neither will a boat.
===> Get up, Ben. The fish won't wait. And neither will the boat.
△What are if get to the dock in it's already gone?
===> What if we get to the dock and it's already gone?
△You don't want to miss *** ** **, do you?
===> You don't want to miss out on it, do you?

「And neither will the boat.」は「And the boat will not wait, too.」のことで倒置になっています。
miss out on　チャンスを逃す

Ben:
△You're right! Plus, they said we won't get up money back you for no shows!
===> You're right! Plus, they said we won't get our money back if we're no-shows!

Makoto:
△Whew, the for of wasting money sure work you append a hurry.
===> Whew, the thought of wasting money sure woke you up in a hurry.

Ben:
○Hey, the alarm clock's wrong!
===> Hey, the alarm clock's wrong!
△My watch says it's already after five. We've got a hurry! Oww!
===> My watch says it's already after five. We've got to hurry! Oww!

Makoto:
○What's the matter?
===> What's the matter?

Ben:
○I bumped my shin on the bed. Turn on a light, would you?

Makoto:
△Let's see... the light switch is over there, I think.

△... Ouch! I bumped my shin, too. I can't see a thing.

当たり前のように「bump」だと思っていたら、今度は「bang」でした。
辞書によると、「bang」は音をともなうイメージ(太鼓をドンドン打つとか、ズドンと大砲の音がする)から、ドンとぶつける感じでしょうか。「bump」は「bump into」でバッタリ会うという意味があるように、擬音語よりは擬態語的なニュアンスを感じます。

===> The thought of a vacation at a hot spring resort makes me feel relaxed.

(2) 彼と結婚することを考えると彼女はわくわくした。

===> The thought of getting married to him thrilled her.

(3) あの交通事故のことを考えるだけでぞっとする。
△Just the thought of that car accident makes me shutter.
===> Just the thought of that car accident makes me shudder.
