徹底トレーニング英会話2008年07月22日(火)

練習するたびに目標に一歩近づいているのです。

【今日のスキット】
Ben:
△Well, it was headache, but we finally made it.
===> Well, it was hectic, but we finally made it.

hectic てんてこ舞いの
急に頭が痛くなるのは変だなと思ったんですけど、「hectic」って知りませんでした。

Makoto:
△Now we're going out to hunt a wildly depth.
===> Now we're going out to hunt the watery depths.

Ben:
△The sunny was about to rise on a great day of ocean adventure.
===> The sun is about to rise on a great day of ocean adventure.

Makoto:
×You know, there's somthing special about the sound of the way with some crimbed the go that the draws man to the sea.
===> You know, there's somthing special about the sound of the waves and the cry of the gulls that draws a man to the sea.

Ben:
△Yep, the best horizon, the fresh sea breeze and ...
===> Yep, the vast horizon, the fresh sea breeze and ...

Makoto:
○And that fresh minty smell. ... Wait a minute. That can't be right.
===> And that fresh minty smell. ... Wait a minute. That can't be right.

Ben:
△Yeah, there's no minty smell on the ocean. And yet, I smell, too
===> Yeah, there's no minty smell in the ocean. And yet, I smell it, too
△Oh no! I just had a terrible fat.
===> Oh no! I just had a terrible thought.

Makoto:
△Let me taste tha back of my hand. ... Uhhh, I hope toothpaste blocks UV raise.
===> Let me taste tha back of my hand. ... Uhhh, I hope toothpaste blocks UV rays.

(3) その古い家は今にもつぶれそうだ。
△That old house looks like to be about to corrupse in on yourself.
===> That old house looks like it's about to collapse in on itself.
